A golden chapter in the history of Shri Jain Visha Oswal Seva Samaj…
Shri Jain Visha Oswal Seva Samaj is an association of families belonging to the following towns
Balol, Bamanva, Bilodra, Dagavadiya, Dawad – Jadar, Jaska, Kada, Kadi, Karbatiya, Ladol, Nadasa, Samouu, Sawala, Sipor, Titodan, Umta, Unad, Vadasan, Vihar, Vadnagar, Kheralu & Visnagar With the passage of time, many families from many of the towns have left for large cities to make their fortune. And today, our samaj has gained worldwide fame because these families have worked hard for the benefit of our samaj as well as the people in general. These families make us proud by their selfless work for humanity.

In the large cities, the one city stands out is the Mumbai Metropolis. The families which first settled in this mega-city included the families of Shri Babaldas Amulakh Shah (Savala), Shri Gabhruchand Lallubhai Shah (Karbativala), Shri Amthalal Malichand Shah (Samou), Shri Mangaldas Malichand Shah (Samou) and Shri Keshavlal Swarupchand Shah (Titodan). With time, many other families too followed and settled down in Mumbai. These families earned their fame due to a unique combination of skill, effort and perseverance and established flourishing businesses in the steel market, pearl market, cloth market, diamond markets and jewelry businesses as well. These families retained their strong sense of cooperation and brotherhood and successfully faced difficulties together. While they have kept alive the flame of cooperation and brotherhood for coming generations as well, they have always been driven by a purpose of doing something to benefit the samaj as a whole. This feeling led to the people working in the pearl markets to establish the fitst “Shri Jain Visha Osawal Yuvak mandal” and its office was construced by Sheth Shri Babaldas Amulakh Shah (resident of Savala) about 65 years ago.

The members of this organization were oriented towards enlightenment of the masses and promotion of education and worked towards social and economic progress in the society . they dedicated themselves towards ensuring that every member from the samaj who entered the city was empowered to earn a living for himself and progress in society. The actitivies and accomplishments of the samaj were recorded in the monthy journal of the samaj which was named ‘Jyot” With time, more and more families settled in this great city and many others dedicated themselves to the good work being done by the association. New projects were undertaken and the Shri Jain Visha Oswal Mitra Mandal was established.

The pioneers of this orgainsation namely; Shriman Seth Shri Bhogilal Uttamchand Shah (Ladol) and Shrimant Popatlal Amthalal Shaha (Ladol) and their contributions can never be forgotten. One of the first projects of the young workers was to make a Telephone Directory of its members

The abovementioned workers have many landmark events and accomplishments to their name including the first ‘Vasti Patrak’ under the aegis of ……….. The golden chapter that began about 27 years ago, continues with a new hope, with new enthusiasm and with a new vision which is given a new shape;
